My husband. He is a firefighter. He not only risks his life for strangers, he saves me from myself. And my teenagers. They let me be myself and love me anyway. :)
Hubby is working Halloween again this year at the fire station. The guys with younger kids are taking off. All of mine are really too old to trick-or-treat.
I know it's early for a Halloween blog, but I REALLY want to do something special/creepy for the little devils in my neighborhood this year. ;) I just found a site with different ideas and ingredients of things they can stick their hands in that feel like eyeballs, etc,...
I live in a subdivision full of kids, but my street only has three houses. They seem to bypass it for the most part. I want to draw the kids down here. Give them something that they will remember. :D
I've been in the same business for 15 years. I started as a medical transcriptionist, and moved to supervisor, account coordinator, and now recruiter. I'm making $1000 less per year at this company than I made as an account coordinator at the last job. I don't have to do NEAR as much, don't get phone calls 24/7 anymore, but with 5 teenagers it still isn't enough to pay the bills.
My neighbor got a job as a flight attendant, and after one year (so she says) she will be making 10,000. per year more than I make. But, she has to fly all week to make that paycheck, then off on the weekends. Should I try? I need the money desperately so that hubby will stop working 120 hours per week, but I so hate to not see my kids all week long.

Her tools will be a mix of different useful items, as well as natural items and shamanic tools. Such as walking sticks and staffs, wands, rattles, a medicine bag, pruning shears, cooking pots, besoms, and the tools of herbalism, such as a mortar and pestual. Her shrine/altar can be placed anywhere in her home, garden or yard, and she may have special places set up in her favorite wild places, or a corner of a farm field. Her patrons will be deities of nature, the wild, and agriculture, healing, the harvest and the Underworld.
